I bought my first Cavalier from England in 1996, and started to get
involved in obedience training from about 1998. In 1999, I was given a
taste of conformation shows by my friend, Gopi Krishnan who subsequently
became the exclusive handler of my Top Winning Cavalier, Mal Grand Ch Lechevalier Owen At
Lacavara.
After showing and winning Multiple Best of Breeds and a Reserve Best
in Group, I retired my first Cavalier, Mal Ch Clipperdown Nell Gwynn At
Lacavara (Imp. UK) from the show ring in 1999 as she really is only a
lovely pet who goes to the odd show.
At the same time, my serious search began and through the help of my
friends Gopi Krishnan and Tabatha Buckley, (once again, thank you both)
I approached Mrs. Margaret Franze, one of the top Cavalier breeders in
Australia for a Cavalier sired by her sensational Top Dog, Eng Ch Aust
Grand Ch Loranka's Dream Lover At Lechevalier (Hamish).
I was entrusted with my first Cavalier show dog, Owen in April 2000
who immediately started his sensational show career in the country and
subsequently became the Top Toy 2000 in Malaysia. His achievements
include winning Multiple Best of Breed, In Group and In Show Specials at
many All Breeds Championship Shows in the country.
One is never enough when it comes to having the best thing in life, so
as a result in January 2001, I was lucky to get one of Margaret's
champion girls, Aust & Mal Ch Lechevalier Michaela at Lacavara, a Multiple Best Of Breed
and Royal Show Winner sired by Hamish out of Lechevalier Coquette.
As Lacavara is relatively new and small at the moment, I am constantly
looking for good Cavaliers to complement my breeding program for the
future. Occasionally, I may have puppies available for very selected
loving homes.
